Everybody wants something. But most don’t know exactly
what that something is. When you finally get what you think
you want, you realise that wasn’t it after all.
There is always
something else.
You know the feeling. If only I had a new car, a new partner,
a new life, more money, more sex, more fun, more respect,
a better house, a different job, a new look, another movie,
another book, another diversion, another conversion, more
food, less fat, bigger this, smaller that
– then, I could finally
be happy.
We look to the outside for the answers. But no matter what or
how much we get, it doesn’t quite fill the empty space we feel
inside. It may satisfy for a while, but eventually …
the hunger
returns.
Those who understand how the universe works
want nothing
… and receive everything.
They are never hungry. |
